Single Trail Warranty

At Single Trail, we are committed to products with leading design and engineering innovation standards. Our priority is to continue evolving our range to enhance usability and longevity and we will stand behind your decision to support us.

We offer a (5) five-year warranty to the original owner against structural defects in material or workmanship on all Single Trail products.

Exclusions To The Single Trail Warranty

Unfortunately (but we hope it’s understandable), there are basic exclusions to the warranty that we are happy to offer with our products. They cover the event of fault if the product is being used in a manner that it was not intended. Pretty simple.

What are the exclusions to the Single Trail Warranty?
Subject to your rights as outlined by ANZ Consumer Laws and may be additional to the Product Warranty, Single Trail does not give any warranty:

  • If damage was caused by a fortuitous event(s);
  • If you are not the original owner of the product;
    If the product was purchased from a retailer other than those authorized by Single Trail;
  • If road safety instructions are not followed;
    If you continued to use your product while it was damaged;
    If the product was not installed correctly;
  • If regular inspection and maintenance is not carried out;
  • If abrasive or rigorous cleaning methods and substances are used;
  • If the product was repaired by a person other than Single Trail;
  • If the Single Trail product was used for an activity other than those for which it was intended;
  • If the Single Trail product and/or its components were subject to abusive use, negligence, abnormal and/or excessive use or was implicated in an accident;
  • If the product(s) were modified (ex: polishing, structural or mechanical modification or addition, stripping, sanding, strain hardening, shot peening);

What is NOT covered by your warranty?

Replacement of wear and tear parts, damage from a crash or other accidental damage, and damage from abuse or corrosion are all examples of what is not covered.

What if my Electro-plated Single Trail Rack appears to be corroded?

This is normal of electro-plating and expected to occur more frequently and rapidly under certain environmental conditions.

“Electroplating entails the electrodeposition of a metal onto the surface of a steel or iron product. This metal coating acts as a sacrificial barrier that can slow and even prevent corrosion from forming on the underlying material, which is referred to as the substrate.” – Sharrets Plating.

In the event that you suspect corrosion, we will inspect photos of your rack to ensure it remains safe to use.

Official Australian Warranty declaration:

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

How to make a warranty claim

What should you do in the unlikely event that you need a warranty?

You must stop using your Single Trail product immediately to avoid causing injury or further damage. Contact us within the product’s warranty period by email at sales@Single

At the discretion of Single Trail, photos evidencing the fault or inspection upon the product’s return will be required before a warranty is issued. Take photos of the part and how the product is being used when the fault happened or as soon as it is observed.

We may need you to send the product back to us or a designated repair facility so that we can fix or replace it. We will let you know when you contact us.

What happens when I return my product under this warranty?

Defective products covered by this warranty will be repaired or replaced without charge, or Single Trail will provide you with a refund of the purchase price of the product, minus any rebates, discounts, or return shipping of the defective product.

Do I get to choose how a warranty is handled?

Our intention is to provide a remedy that has the most satisfactory result for all parties. However, subject to your rights that cannot be excluded under the ANZ Consumer Laws the remedy offered under this Product Warranty will be determined by Single Trail at its sole discretion. We will make all reasonable efforts to ensure that you are satisfied with the decision made to resolve all product issues.

Are any charges associated with my warranty claim?

You will be responsible for any reasonable costs of returning your product to us. We can only ship replacement products under this Product Warranty to locations in the country where the original product was purchased.

What documentation do I need to support my warranty claim?

You will need to provide proof of your original purchase to support your warranty claim.
