Single Trail For Life

Warranty & Crash Replacement

At Single Trail, we are committed to products with leading design and engineering innovation standards. Our priority is to continue evolving our range to enhance usability and longevity and we will stand behind your decision to support us.

The Single Trail for Life is a limited lifetime warranty on the structure of each Single Trail Rack and Swingarm (to be referred to as “Racks”) to the original purchaser, this includes the Rope in our Rope Fastening Systems.

Limits to Single Trail For Life – Warranty

Unfortunately (but we hope it’s understandable), there are basic exclusions to the warranty that we are happy to offer with our products. They cover the event of fault if the product is being used in a manner that it was not intended. Pretty simple.

What are the exclusions to the Single Trail for Life – Limited Lifetime Warranty?
Subject to your rights as outlined by ANZ Consumer Laws and may be additional to the Product Warranty, Single Trail does not give any warranty:

  • If damage was caused by a fortuitous event(s);
  • If you are not the original owner of the product;
  • If road safety instructions are not followed;
  • If you continued to use your product while it was damaged;
  • If the product was not installed correctly;
  • If regular inspection and maintenance is not carried out;
  • If abrasive or rigorous cleaning methods and substances are used;
  • If the product was repaired by a person other than Single Trail or other approved person / organisation;
  • If the Single Trail product was used for an activity other than those for which it was intended;
  • If the Single Trail product and/or its components were subject to abusive use, negligence, abnormal and/or excessive use or was implicated in an accident;
  • If the product(s) were modified (ex: polishing, structural or mechanical modification or addition, stripping, sanding, strain hardening, shot peening);
  • Powder Coating chips, scratches, rust – Please still get in touch with photos as Powder Coat and Zinc finishes should not flake freely off from normal use as they are industrial strength coatings.
  • Hardware (bolts, washers, nuts, etc.) These parts are subject to wear and are not considered defective when worn. However, replacement parts are readily available by contacting sales@single-trail.com
  • Damages and charges from the shipping company

How will the warranty work?

The Single Trail for Life warranty works as a hierarchy of repair and replace.
The priority will be to replace defective parts with new or upgraded components, this will require the purchaser to have access to basic hand and power tools.
All instructions and replacement parts will be made available by Single Trail, along with additional phone support if required.
In the event that you suspect corrosion, we will inspect photos of your rack to ensure it remains safe to use.

Official Australian Warranty declaration:

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

How to make a warranty claim

What should you do in the unlikely event that you need a warranty?

You must stop using your Single Trail product immediately to avoid causing injury or further damage. Contact us within the product’s warranty period by email at sales@single-trail.com

At the discretion of Single Trail, photos evidencing the fault or inspection upon the product’s return will be required before a warranty is issued. Take photos of the part and how the product is being used when the fault happened or as soon as it is observed.

We may need you to send the product back to us or a designated repair facility so that we can fix or replace it. We will let you know when you contact us.

What happens when I return my product under this warranty?

Defective products covered by this warranty will be repaired or replaced without charge, or Single Trail will provide you with a refund of the purchase price of the product, minus any rebates, discounts, or return shipping of the defective product.

Do I get to choose how a warranty is handled?

Our intention is to provide a remedy that has the most satisfactory result for all parties. However, subject to your rights that cannot be excluded under the ANZ Consumer Laws the remedy offered under this Product Warranty will be determined by Single Trail at its sole discretion. We will make all reasonable efforts to ensure that you are satisfied with the decision made to resolve all product issues.

Are any charges associated with my warranty claim?

You will be responsible for any reasonable costs of returning your product to us. We can only ship replacement products under this Product Warranty to locations in the country where the original product was purchased.

What documentation do I need to support my warranty claim?

You will need to provide proof of your original purchase to support your warranty claim.

Spare Parts & Crash Replacement Program

Single Trail will make replacement parts available to the original owner at a minimal charge in the event of a crash or other non-warranty situation for the life of the product.
